Eastern Samar District Engineering Office (ESDEO) proposes P1.8 billion budget for 2017 to cover a long list of Infrastructure program of the province to help endure and expedite its economic growth.
Manolo A. Rojas, Eastern Samar District Engineer said “during my visit to the Regional Office last August 2016 to accept the award as the best in project implementation among the districts in Region VIII, ESDEO will be given ₱1.8billion allocation budget through the General Appropriation Act (GAA) if the 2017 Infrastructure program will be approved. “The said fund will be downloaded directly to the district,” he said.
The 2017 budget allocation will be the biggest alloted fund for the district. From its ₱1,798,789,000.00 budget in 2016, District of Eastern Samar will increase its allocated budget next year to ₱1,823,245,000.00
He added that more projects means more areas for development that will help uplift the economic status of the province.
Based on National Expenditure Program (NEP), the ₱1,133,320,000.00 or 62 percent of the total proposed budget will be spent on road and bridge projects which is the top priority of the department as its major final output one (MFO1).
While the ₱339,925,000.00 or 19 percent will be spent under major final output two (MFO2) for Flood Management Services, and the ₱300,000,000.00 or 16 percent proposed budget will be alloted to major final output three (MFO3) for Maintenance and Construction Services of the Infrastructure.
For its various Infrastructure, including local infrastructure projects, the programmed fund is ₱50million which is three percent of the total budget.
